How to make the production of the spaces we live in more accessible to a general public? When it comes to communication perhaps film has been proving itself as successful means of communication. Specially in light compact formats, it manages to transmit information in a pretty effective way. This short video is a sample of how it can be done. It documented the Open-Doors Architecture Day offered by ZRS studios in the summer of 2016.
It was produced in period in which I collaborated to their branding transition from the former Ziegert Roswag Seiler Company, into the new ZRS version. The studio's focus on environmentally responsible building techniques, incorporating research laboratory facilities and combining engineering with architecture makes ZRS quite unique.
As for the film itself, it is a result of an over five year long collaboration with my mentor and friend Fred Plassmann, creator of the film production company OFFscreen, as well as the Association Urban Film Lab which among others ran the over 10 year platform architekturclips.
